　　（一）英語求職信的定義：求職信是根據已知某單位發布的用人信息向用人單位申請職務、工作時發出的一種申請信。求職信的運用相當普遍，是一種常用的應用文。

　　（二）求職信的寫作要求：求職信的格式同一般書信一樣，一般也要包括信頭、信內地址、稱呼、正文、結尾語、簽名等幾部分。除此之外，求職信的寫作還要注意以下幾點。

　　1、一般不提工資待遇：一般不要在求職信中提出自己的工資待遇問題，留待對方決定聘用時再協商。如確實必要，可說明自己目前職位的工資數額或工資要求的大致數額，以備對方參考。

　　2、內容要真實，評價要適當：求職信的內容要真實，自我評價要適當。對自己的優點長處不夸大、不過分渲染，但也不要過于謙虛，更不要自我貶低。寫作語氣要肯定、自信，給對方留下好印象。

　　3、語言簡潔，清楚明白：為了保證對方能夠讀完全文，求職信應言簡意賅，不寫與主題無關的內容，少用冷僻字，行文要流暢、自然。

　　（三）求職信的主要內容：謀求的職位不同，求職信的`內容和寫法也會稍有不同，但一般來講，求職信的內容都要具有以下四個方面：

　　1、寫求職信的緣由和目的：說明自己是如何獲得對方招聘信息的，同時還要寫出自己的學歷、從事專業與對方招聘的職位十分對位，自己對此職位很感興趣并自信可以勝任此項工作。

　　2、介紹自己的情況：介紹自己的情況是為了讓聘用方了解自己的學歷、專業、經驗、能力、成就、愿望等，為對方錄用自己提供充分的根據。個人情況包含以下內容：出生日期、性別、所學專業及學歷層次、工作經驗、特殊技能、已取得的成就、被錄用后的工作設想等。

　　3、推薦人的姓名及自己的希望：一般來講，求職信應有二至三名推薦人。在獲得這些人的同意后，將其姓名、地址一并列入信中。推薦人一般是有一定的學術水平、具有某些較高專業技能和社會名望的人。求職信還應提出同對方面談的愿望。
