　　在上一個帖子中，老許提到在CET4/6試題中，有兩個拉分最厲害的部分，一是聽力題，一是作文題，大學英語四六級考試萬能作文模板。老許還說，跟漢語作文的“起承轉合”類似，英語作文其實也有固定模式，但他不便透露細節。這個帖子發表之后不久，就有網友給我留言，告訴我其實網上早就有所謂的“CET4/6萬能作文模板”了，并告訴我一個網址，讓我去看看。

　　我到那里一看，果然有五個模板，認真拜讀一遍之后，不由得大吃二驚。第一驚的是：我們中國真是高手如林，多么復雜、困難的問題，都能夠迎刃而解，實在佩服之極。第二驚的是：“八股文”這朵中國傳統文化的奇葩，在凋謝了一百多年之后，竟然又在中華大地上重新含苞怒放，真是可喜可賀。

　　1.表示某事物的成立，需用被動語態：“原名京師大學堂”即最初的名字，可譯為and its original name was…;也可與前面句子共用主語Peking University，譯為was originallyknown as…，但這兩種處理方法都不如將其處理為過去分詞短語originally known as…來得簡潔地道。

　　2.注意第二句中“中國近代史”的譯法，“近代史”通常譯為modern history.“現代史”則譯為contemporaryhistory.“標志著……的開始”可以套用mark the beginning of…句型表達。注意，不要一看到“標志”就翻譯為symbolize，該詞一般指“某事物的象征意義”，用于此不合適。

　　3.第三句中的“對……的發生頗有影響”的中心詞是“有影響”(was influential)，“對……的發生”表明產生影響的方面，用介詞in.“發生”在此處強調的是狀態，而不是動作，因此用in the birth of表達。
