大學英語老師自我介紹

　　Self-introduction: my name is Ivy, graduating from jxnu 4 years ago. I will be your English teacher for 2 years if nothing special happens. I’m glad to meet all of you here. I hope we could enjoy these 2 years together. QQ: 12345678 E-mail:

　　As for teaching and learning, I like an old saying by Benjamin Franklin “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” So I want all of you to get involved in my class as much as possible, instead of just being a listener. To make sure that you are involved, I have some rules for you to follow for these 2 years. And your final score will be decided on how well you follow these rules.

　　Final score: Class attendence 5% (application for leave is effective only with the signature of your tutor; Being late for more than 5 minutes would be treated the same as being absent )

　　Class performance 20%(answering questions, activities, exercises, after-class tasks, self-study in network classroom etc.)

　　Oral test 10% (the last week of each semester, you will take an oral test) Group assessment 5% (you will set up several groups of 5-6 Ss. The last week of each semester, members in each group should assess the other members of the same group)(assessment criteria: attitude, action, achievement)

　　Final exam 60%

　　Group work: set up groups with whoever you want. 5-6 Ss form a group. Elect a group eader.The leader should be responsible for the whole group. During the semester, each group will have to finish several tasks assigned by me.(preview jobs, research, role-play, oral practice etc.)The group leader should report to me the absence of your members, if not and I find out, both of the absent student and the leader will be punished.

　　I need you to elect an assistant for english class. To make our communication more convenient. I’d like know something about you. Introduce yourself briefly(name, hometown, school, hobby,expection for college etc.) If you want to be my assistant, declare it, and tell your classmates why you are qualified for it. The assistant makes a list to register those groups , their leaders and their telephone numbers. Hand it to me next class.

　　Network study: every week, we will have two classes in network classroom. During these period, you should study and finish tasks mainly by yourself and with group members with the guidance of the teacher and the help of the information resources in computers; We will also have listening classes with some oral training and practice. (contents: preview, review and exercises,listening lesson A , fast-reading)

　　Every other week, you will have another two classes in network classroom to study.(self-directed english learning system)

　　After-class task: read the article in listening book from p7-10. How to improve your listening and speaking.
